December 10th, 2007 at 8:05 pmI LIKE IT BECAUSE ALL OF THE CHAPTERS ARE REALLY ITERESTING.I FIND THEM ITERESTING BECAUSE YOU GET TO FIND ALOT OF INFORMATION OF EACH CHAPTER AND HOW THEY EACH PRODUCTED THERE OWN LIFE IN DIFFERENT WAYS.I ALSO LIKE THIS CHAPTER BECAUSE EACH CHAPTER HAS THERE OWN WAY TO GET FOOD AND SHELTER IN MANY WAYS.I FIND CHAPTER 1 LESS ITERESTING BECAUSE ALL IT REALLY TALKS ABOT ARTAND FINDING THINGS AND THE REST TALK ABOUT HOW THEY EACH FOUND THERE OWN FOOD AND SHELTER. December 10th, 2007 at 8:15 pmDuring this whole chapter the two topics I found most intresting were in the chapters 2 and 4.In chapter two I found it interisting to know about how people on changing. I found this intristing for the fact that peopole have changed over the years and it is very intrsting to know about how the people were back then and how we have changed over the years. In chapter 4 I found it intristing to know about their complex irrigation system and how they used agriculture to have a stable food supply. It was most interisting to me because they were capable of thinking about it and fixing their problems by themselves, and then after time make the first city-states in the world. One of the things I disliked about this unit was that in chapter one they talked about cave art and why it was important.I thought that it really go with the unit because of the way that the rest talks about empires and certain people. These are my thoughts of the unit.
December 10th, 2007 at 8:20 pmWe have finally finished the six chapters on early humans and first civilizations. There was two chapters that I was most interested in.One of the chapters or project that I was most interested in was reading chapter 1 because I used to not know that cavemen had tools and that they even drew on the cave walls and drawed caveart on it. I also liked it because I learned alot of things in that chapter. The other activity that I was most intersted in was the diarama. I like doing that because we learned how to talk to eachother and to express our fellings with eachother. I also liked it because we had fun by doing the objects we made. Those were the two things that I enjoed the most.
December 10th, 2007 at 8:57 pmGood
I liked the first chapter because it tells you all of the tings that happened in millions of years ago. It is cool that how they grew and how they changed like clothings and how they walked. I also liked it because a piece of bone from Lucy cost a lot of money. I also liked the different kind of empires and the tings that they did so that we could know why they are important. I liked the act of the Akkadian empires, they did the writing and sculptures in witch we still use today.
Bad
I did not like the farmer because I did not find it interesting and because I do not like to now what they did for there jobs. The second thing that I did not like is that we had to read and reading ain’t my thing. It is not that I am good at it but i just don’t like to read.Have a great vacation by.
December 10th, 2007 at 9:02 pmThe most interesting topic was Hammurabi and the Babylonian Empire.I liked it because it talked about many things that the babylonian did like how they trade and the codes of laws.Another interesting topic was The Assyrian Empire.I liked it becuase they did there own weapons. They also and achievements they were there new weapons and war strategies. There is no least topic I liked them all.
December 10th, 2007 at 9:17 pmThe chapter that had my most attention was chapter six.Why I think this chapter is interesting it’s because it has a lot of parts to learn about. One of the thing I learned about this chapter were the Babylonian Empire there two gratest achevments were the codes of laws and trade. The second chapter I thought was most interesting is chapter two.I thought chapter was interesting because it shows how they evolve from Australopithecus Afarensis to Early Modern Humans. The topic I found the most interesting was chapter one.I didn’t find it interesting because I didn’t under stand at first because it was my first chapter.
December 10th, 2007 at 9:41 pmWhat I found interesting through Chapters 1-6 is chapter six.It was most interesting to me because what intrest me was the type of kings and there empirees. They were all different establishing there empires and communities. All kings would have different achievements some very impotant and some just achievements. The one I don’t like from Chapter 1-6 is chapter 1 it wasn’t interesting to me at all. I understood it but to me it was boring. Also it was hard to memorize the different kinds of cavemen. This what I think was most interesting and non interesting.
December 10th, 2007 at 10:06 pmMy first topic is Neo Babylonian because there the ones who invented the Sundial and without the Sundial we wouldnt be able to know the time. My second topic is the Assyrian because they were the ones who started useing weapons this Achievment was importent because they wouldnt of had been strong and powerful. What I dont like about the Neo Babylonians is when they took over all the Empires and what I dont like about the Assyrians is that they tried to take over all the Empires as well. The least intresting Empire is the Babylonian because other people also traded many different objects.
December 10th, 2007 at 10:09 pmMICHAEL J PERIOD#3 HISTORY 12/10/07
During Unit 1 I think the most interesting chapter was the 6th chapter, the four empires of Mesopotamia. I thought this was interesting because I think that most of the things we do today started from those four different empires. Like: Laws, War Strategies, Weapons, and Agriculture and Trade.
I also liked the five hominid groups because it really shows me how people evolved in size, being smart, handy with making tools, fixing bones, caring for one another being able to stand on two feet, and being able to talk.
December 10th, 2007 at 10:21 pmI like chapter 1, because it kind of shows how our history
started, and who studied the past for
example:archeologits,historians,and geographers.
And the second one I chose was chapter 3
because it shows how our history started
to advance.
The one I didnt like was chapter 5 because
December 10th, 2007 at 11:07 pmit was basicly the same history as chapter 4.
My favorite activities were the cave activity and the history project. My least favorite topic was the proccesing worksheet. The cave activity was because it sounded realistic and we pretended the pieces of tape were the cave walls. The history project was fun because we made 3~demensional projects out of clay.My least favorite topic was the proccesing worksheet because we have to draw stuff and answer a bunch of questions.
December 10th, 2007 at 11:14 pmMy two favorite topic in the histiory book are caveman and farmers and gathers.Caveman is one of the easier ones because they had the tools, skining animals, and hunt there is way more stuff but those are the simpler and main stuff you can now remember the caveman when you think of them.Hunters and gathers are one of the basics to because all they basicly did was hunt and gathers and there was the neo-babyilonian.
December 10th, 2007 at 11:25 pmThe two topics I found most interesting are Early hominids and Was ancient sumer a Civilization. I found Early hominids interesting because the chapter was easy and it looked cool how they evolved. I also liked this chapter because it was fun because in the classroom we made a pretend cave. I found Was ancient sumer a civilization interesting because I learned a lot in this chapter and it was easy. Not that it was just easy, but fun as well because I was able to learn about stuff I did not know. The chapter I found the least interesting is The rise of Sumerian city-states. I didn’t like this chapter because it was harder than the other chapters. It did not interest me because it was not as fun as the other chapter.

December 10th, 2007 at 11:31 pmMy favorite topic in this unit is the Ealy Hominids chapter 2. Because it show us the old to the new. like the begaining the present. My second favorite is exploring the four empires because it show’s you the greatest achevments. The one I find lest intoristing is investingating the past. Because it just shows you pictures and not inuff information and that is the greatest part.
the topic i found most interesting was the first chapter because it talked about all of the people back then. One reason i found it interesting was because um oh ya Michael expliand it very well. One of the prodjects didn’t like was none i loved them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
December 11th, 2007 at 12:04 amThere were alot of intresting topics I like, but one of the the topics I like most was if sumer was a civilization.I found it intresting is because the book talked about the writing and tecnology with all cool information how they did what they did. Another topic I liked was life under the rule of a empire. The thing I liked about it is that what were the two achievements that were important to them. The topic I thought was the least intresting was the rise of sumerarian city states. The reason I thought it was the least intresting was because the only thing they talk about is how they became from farmers to a city. To me that was kind of boring.
December 11th, 2007 at 12:10 amThe most interesting topics that I liked was chapter 1 and chapter 5.I found them interesting because in chapter 1 we learned that archeologists, historians, and geographers are detectives who discover the past?We didnt know what they did in the first place. So it’s a good thing to know new stuff. In chapter 5 we learned if people back in the day had technology, stable food supply, government, writing, art, religion, and social structure. We read it together and the answer was yes. The least interseting to me was chapter 3.It was’nt interesting to me because I guess that I already knew that they lived in big house that was built out of mud. They also had stairs to go to their homes.
December 11th, 2007 at 12:25 amThe the two most interesting topics were Exploring Four Empires of Mesopotamia and The Rise of Sumerian City-States. I liked Exploring Four Empires of Mesopotamia because itn talked about the achievements of the Empires.I also liked The Rise of Sumerian City-States because it showed how they became more civilzed, they went from living in caves to living in modern houses. The topic that I found least interesting is Investigating the Past because it just talked about how they found stuff from the past.
December 11th, 2007 at 12:37 amThe most interesting Chapter is Was Anciention? The best thing I like was about the seven civilization. The our chapter i liked is Early Hominids.I like it because it show how the hominids stated and finished.
Chapter 6 was the chapter that i was not in it . I just do not find alot of WOW in it.There was’t ALOT WE COULD OF TALK ABOUT.
December 11th, 2007 at 1:16 amI don’t remember which chapter these were in.I like the chapter with the assyrians because they had a lot of power.I also liked the first chapter because I like to learn things about like really old things.I didn’t like the chapter about the mesopatamian people because i was really bored learning about that chapter.
December 11th, 2007 at 7:50 pmMy fav two were the cavemen and the farmers. All the cavemen did was hunt and travle. The farmers planted things for example they would plant one thing and trade with another farmer for rice now they two different things to eat now.
December 12th, 2007 at 12:04 amThe title of “Pharaoh” actually comes to us from the Greek language and its use in the Old Testament. It originates in the Egyptian Per-aa, meaning “Great House”, a designation of the palace, which first came to be used as a label for the king around 1450 BC, though it only became common usage some centuries later. For most of the time, the usual word for the king of ancient Egypt was nesu, but a whole range of titles were applicable to any full statement of a king’s names and titulary.
