Interesting Landforms!
We have been learning about landforms in History class. Now that you have had a chance to study each of them on your own, which landforms did you find the most interesting? You must choose 2 landforms and discuss what you like most about each one. Including the landform’s definition is necessary to receive credit for your entry. A minimum of 2-3 sentences per landform should do the trick.

The best landform was the one with longitude through sea because almost some of them had water in them and because it is fun to draw and know what each word means!All of them are creative.
September 17th, 2007 at 11:53 pmMy first favorite landform that was my favorite was called the waterfall.Waterfall means water that falls from something high.i like waterfalls because they make a really nice sound.My other second favorite is called valley.A valley is a big cracked that has bean open by an earthquake and water goes through.I like them because you can see a great view from up there.Those were my two favorite landforms.
September 18th, 2007 at 3:21 pmThe landform i liked was source.Source means a beginning of a rive.What i liked about this landform is that it doesnt always come from sping it could always come of melting glacier.The other landform i like is the gulf.A gulf is a part of the ocean (or sea)that is partly surrounded by land (it is usually large than a bay).I like the gulf because it is the greatest link among Europe,Africa,as well as South and Southeast Asia.

I like a geyser bcause it is a river,waterfall,and small geysers.It’s like a hot springs.A geyser means:a geyser is a natural hot springs that occasionally sprays water and steam above the ground.
September 18th, 2007 at 5:50 pmOne of the Landforms I like the most is a volcano.Because it is very deep and it is really cool.I also like it because when it erupts it spews out lava, ashes, and and hot gases.It’s definition is a volcano is a mountainous vent in the earth’s crust.When a volcano erupts, it spews out lava, ashes, and hot gases from deep inside the earth.I also like a waterfall,a waterfall is when a river falls off steeply,there is a waterfall.I like it because it is very high and brings down water really fast.Finally I like it because it looks really cool and I can imagine being in front of one.
September 18th, 2007 at 6:16 pmThe Landforms I like most is Dune,and Geyser. I like geyser because i think its cool how it just shoots out naturally. And i like dune because i like how the sand creates a big hill. I chose these two because I thought these both were very cool how there were formed.

I LIKE THE VOLCANO BECOUSE IT IS A BIG MOUNTAIN THAT THROWS MAGMA AND ROCKS OUT OF THE HOLE.MY SECOND REASON IS THAT IT IS THAT THE MAGMA IS SO HOT THAT WHEN IT COOLS DOWN IT TURNS TO A ROCK.THE DEFINITION FOR THIS WORD IS,A VOLCANO IS A MOUNTAINOUS
VENT IN earth’s crust.
My second favorite is the butte i like it becouse is a tall mountain.MY second reason is that it has steep walls and a flat.the definition is a flat -topped rock or hill formation with steep sides.
September 18th, 2007 at 6:36 pmI had alot of fun in doing the landforms.My favorite landform was the volcano because I liked volcanos when I was small. I learned alot of different definitions. In some of them I was lost because I did not know the definitions.I got to see alot of different kind of pictures from the earth.Finally, my second favorite one was the tundra because I like the animals the live in cold places. I never knew what was a tundra. I always thought they were animals but they are cold places.I really enjoyed it.
September 18th, 2007 at 8:11 pmMy first favorite landform is the Swamp. A Swamp is a fresh water area of wetland that is spongy, muddly and has a lot of water, tress and shrubs. I like it because, it is a great place for animals to live. It’s peaceful, quiet and beautiful.
September 18th, 2007 at 8:15 pmMy second favorite landform is the Valley. A Valley is a low place surrounded by mountains. I like the valley because, we live in the Valley. It’s hot in the Summer and cold in the Winter. We are surrounded by mountains where we can hike, bike and relax.
My favorite landforms are waterfalls and archipelago.

Some have different pratice of rock that is very nice to see.
How you been in Hawii?I have not but I think it is so cool to see a chain of island .Not all the island are the some even if they are in a chian.That is all Mrs.V now I have to got to go bye-bye.
My 2 favorite landforms is island and dune!
i like the island because it is a place that is in the middle of the ocean.I think that is pretty coolbecause u could go walking to the beach and not in a car.For example Hawaii is in the middle of the ocean.I think this a great place to do researches!!!
The second landforms that i like is dune. i think that dune is also pretty cool because it is not made from a person it is made by the wind.So if there is alot of wind it could amke alot of little moutains.Thats why i like dune because it is a interesting to learn about!

And a canyon is a deep valley with very steep sides often carved from the earth by a river. what i like about the river is that it contains a little of watter so you cannot drown when you swim and also you could also fish. And what i also like about the canyon is that when you stand on the canyon you can see a great view of the canyon.

My other favorite is the archipelago because how little parts of land are ina chain . On of an archipelago is Hawaii. Archipelago meansa group or chains of islands clustered together in a sea or ocean.

We have been learning about landforms, but the ones I think are more interesting are the mountain and the valley.I like the mountain because it`s far away were I live and I like exploring it.The definition of mountain is a very tall high,natural place on earth higher than a hill.The tallest mountain on earth is Mt.Everest.The other landform that I like is the VALLEY.I like the valley because it`s were I live and I`ve gotten soooooooooo close to it.The definition for valley is a low place between mountains.

Archipelago and Atoll
The two most interesting landforms that I chose are Archipelago and an Atoll. An Archipelago is a large group or chain of islands. The reason I found that Archipelagos are interesting is because one of the movies I have, called Island of The Sharks talks about sharks surrounding an Archipelago around Costa Rica, and the islands look really beautiful and they have a lot of coral reefs surrounding them that I would find interesting to visit and explore. An Atoll is a ring shaped coral reef or a string of closely spaced small coral islands, enclosing or nearly enclosing a shallow lagoon. This is like some of the coral reefs that surround Archipelagos that I would like to visit and I really think it is interesting because I can’t imagine a coral reef being that huge and also because you can find so many sea creatures in and around the coral. That is why I find these two landforms the most interesting!

September 20th, 2007 at 9:51 pmI want to learn more about caveman because I think it’s interesting because we get to praticlly learn about ourslevs 100 million years ago.What i want to now about caveman’s are how can they survived by finding food,shelter,water,and how did they fight the enemy’s (animals) and what made them discover basic stuff like fire,tree’s,and water.All these things i want to knew about.
